Professor S.S.Zilitinkevich took part in the
12-th Annual Meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club
(Sochi, Russia, 19-22.10.2015) and presented the invited lecture entitled "The concepts of turbulence and self-organization:
From physics to social and economic applications".

From 17 to 22 September 2012, a delegation of the European Research Council (European Research Council) visited Russia to strengthen relations with Russian partners and to inform native leading researchers about the funding opportunities for their investigations in European research centers. The delegation included the heads of ERC - ERC Secretary General Professor Donald Dingvell and Vice-Chairman of the ERC Professor Pavel Exner. The head of the Laboratory of Physics of the planetary boundary layer, UNN Professor S.S. Zilitinkevich (Finnish Meteorological Institute) and chief scientist of laboratory D.-Sc. Y.I. Troitskaya (Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences) were invited to participate in the visit program.
